Green Light Nationals at Santa Pod Raceway on August 20th-21st

Friday August 12, 2022 at 10:26am

Green Light Nationals will be a double header with Round 4 of both ACU Championships and National Championships on Saturday and Round 5 on Sunday.

Funny Bike.

Louis Davies leads the points table and will be hoping to continue reaching the finals like he has done so far this season. Lorcan Parnell found his form only to be stopped by an electrical problem during the eliminations. Dave Peters has repaired both motors that got damaged at the Summernationals and has also repaired the frame that got damaged.  Roger Moore is making steady progress and maybe a dark horse  for a win at this event. Last years number two plate Tony Clark makes his first appearance of the season.

Comp Bike.

With Shaun Buttigieg not entered this could be any ones race over the weekend.  Graham Dance has been running his best this year. Chris Neary is starting to get a handle on running Methanol.  Len Paget won his first Comp Bike event in the last round.  Paul Hambridge ran a personal best at the Summernationals. Mick Winyard and Jordan Kenway could be in with a shout. John McClean Sr will be hoping for a seven-second pass.

Super Street Bike.

Steve Venables heads the field for this double header, with Jake Mechaell making a big challenge for the championship, the title could be decided at this event. Garry Bowe dipped into the six-second zone at the Summernationals and may stir things up. Both Mark Hope and Dave Smith are getting quicker as is Ross Morrison who is looking for a six-second pass.  Thurty Martinas and Rudolfo Maduro make the journey to the Pod.

8.50 Bike

After winning the Summernationals Dan De’ath is tied with Jay Roe at the top of the table. Jonny Hynes is 430 points behind but with 23 bikes entered for this event, things may change around. Former Super Street bike racer Danny Cockerill has entered this event.

9.50 Bike.

Multi-time and Reigning Champion Richard Sawatzki is the points leader and is ahead of Carl Thomas.  Andy Head could surprise everyone.

ET Bike.

23 Bikes have entered the event with Gary Hester on top of the table.  Multi-time and Reigning Champion Phil Pratt is 260 points behind followed by Scott Collier who ran a perfect dial in et at the Summernationals. Robbie Dobbie is fourth and after winning the Summernationals Matt Jones moved up to fifth.  But that could all change with two rounds at this event
