Raga's return

Six times World Champion Adam Raga will return to the Utilita Arena Sheffield on Saturday 7th January 2023 to do battle at the inaugural DL12 Indoor Trial. The current longest serving rider on the international stage remains one of the most revered and fiercest competitors both indoors and outdoors and has lost none of his hunger to win at the highest level. A constant thorn in his long-time rival Toni Bou’s side, Raga is still one of the few riders capable of keeping Bou off the top step of the podium and was in fact the last rider to defeat Toni inside the famous Yorkshire venue back in 2016.

Having competed against Raga throughout his own riding career Dougie Lampkin had no doubts about putting things in place for Raga’s return as he explained. “Adam is an incredible rider and has worked incredibly hard to keep a high level for such a long period, so he was right at the top of our list of names who we wanted to secure as soon as possible. He has the motivation, ability and fight to be a potential winner on the night and is always someone who the fans love to support as the result of his never say die attitude. It’s going to be great to have him back competing in Yorkshire again.”

Raga added his own comment. “Since a young age I have had a good connection with England, it is a country I love to ride in as the fans have always been warm towards me. Sheffield is a city I know well, so it is good to be coming back there again and an honour to compete in the first DL12 Indoor Trial.”
