Peace and Martyn Share Championship Lead

In an event which turned out much harder than planned, Jack Peace (Sherco) scored a convincing win in the St Davids Trial on Sunday, which was round two of the Wulfsport ACU Trial GB series. He beat first round winner Toby Martyn (TRRS) by thirteen marks over the three lap course in the hills above Swansea. Billy Green (Scorpa) slotted into third by joining the top pair in keeping their losses under one hundred.

Peace’s win means that Martyn and him share the lead at the top of the championship with a win, second and best lap bonus point each.

In the closest of Trial 2 contest, Ross Danby (TRRS) edged out a tie decider victory over Iwan Roberts (TRRS) despite losing a mark on time at the end of the first lap. Harry Hemingway (Beta) made his first visit to the Trial 2 podium in third, just two marks adrift of the leading duo.

The Trial 125 podium was a repeat of round one with young George Hemingway (Beta) posting the best score on the course, which included the Experts. Posting laps of 14 -12 - 22 young Hemmo beat Jamie Galloway (TRRS) who has vowed to keep the pressure on, whilst Alfie Lampkin (Vertigo) worked his magic for third spot.

Dan Thorpe (GasGas) takes over the red plate by virtue of his Expert Class win over Emma Bristow (Sherco) and George Gosden (Beta) in the hotly contested category.

The series now takes its first summer break with the next round in the Lake District on the 29th May.
