First win for Pozzoli! Portsmouth MXC Club Championship Round 3

Portsmouth MXC descended on the Rogershill Raceway in Dorset on Sunday for the third round of their 2022 Club Championship.

Mx1 and VMX hit the track together. The real racing was happening at the front of the group with Mx1. Micheal Ellis cruised to victory with an easy 1,1,1 over the rest of the group. Josh Coleman was stylish throughout all 3 motos. He grabbed second place after 3,2,2. Ollie beamish looked the favourite for 3rd but a mistake in moto 3 cost him leaving the space open for Greg Kingston to claim it(4,4,4).

A bit further back was the Vmx who had a mission trying to race in a crowded, with talent, Mx1 class. Brad Aspden was successful in claiming the win with 1,1,2. Billy Hazell came in with second and Current title holder, Mark Morris Senior, rounded off the podium with 3rd

Harrison Greenough was in a league of his own in the Youth class. He made light work of the track. He took all 3 motos (1,1,1) and was by far superior to his competitors on the day. Tyler Kirby was following behind. He won the club overall and maximum points with his calm and consistent riding. 2,2,2 gave him second place. Joe Cracknell was in hot form. He managed to bag three 3rd place finishes and the last spot on the podium.

Big Wheel and Small Wheel were also on the track together. Ryan Clift was the kid to beat out on the track. In the small wheel class He was unreal in all 3 races with his classy technique leading him to an easy victory. (1,1,1) Toby Bond claimed 2nd place with a consistent 2,2,2. Last place on the steps went to Jacob Luker who was also extremely consistent with 3,3,3.

In the big wheels title contender, Aston over had a nightmare in race 1 leaving him with a Dnf and even though he came back to win the next two races it wasn’t enough to get him in the top 6. This meant that Blu Kinch could take over and go home with first place overall. 2,2,2 was just enough to beat Casey Kennett’s 1,3,3. Kennet went away with 2nd. Jimmy Holloway was the one to come in just behind. With a 4,4,4 in results, he got 3rd overall.

In Moto 1 the 65cc class was led by Arthur Pozzoli who bagged his first-ever 65 race win. For the rest of the day, he battled out with Rio Cook for first. Cook took the overall with 2,1,1. Pozzoli had to settle with second overall but went home happy with his moto 1 victory (1,2,2) Rafe Symons rounded off the podium in that class with 3,4,3.

In the Mx2 Henry Siddiqui and Charlie Beamish had some fantastic battles, especially in the last race. They laid down everything they could out on the track and it was Siddiqui who came out on top (1,2,1) Charlie Beamish went home with second although he did get the win in moto 2 (2,1,2). Luke Southern was solid all day long gaining a 3rd overall.

The kid that was victorious in the Autos was Jimmy Ball who raced hard all day and got a win in moto two to secure the overall (2,1,2). Austin Edwards should’ve stormed the class but a 10th due to bike issues in moto 2 gave him some work to do in race 3. With 2 first place finishes the 10th didn’t cause too much damage and he was still able to claw 2nd place overall. Henry Jury went home with 3rd after his results of 3,3,5.
