Encouraging Entries for DAO Post TT Road Races

With just over a fortnight until entries close for the DAO Post TT Road Races entries for the three-race programme, on Saturday Evening 11th June, with practice taking place during the afternoon are filling up rapidly with a mixture of local riders and from the adjacent islands in almost equal numbers!

Forty-five entries have been received so far, twenty-three of them from off-island, with no less than four newcomers making their debut on the Colas Billown Course.

The opening CuPlas Callow 600cc Race is the most popular so far with nineteen entries headed by Manx Grand Prix double winner Nathan Harrison, who made his debut at this meeting last time it was run in 2019. However

the likes of fellow local Jamie Williams, Lancaster’s Andy Sailor and Dave Moffitt and Paul Cassidy both home based will severely challenge him.

Dave Moffitt will be hoping to take the chequered flag in the Manx Independent Carriers 250cc/700cc Twins Race, after taking second place last time out, although the likes of visitors from England, Forest Dunn and Andrew Castle will have similar ideas to be first past the all-important chequered flag after six hectic laps.

The feature DAO 1100cc Race with sixteen entries so far will once again see Nathan Harrison in action, pitting his skills against the likes of Mark Goodings, Jamie Williams, Andy Sailor, and Paul Cassidy. Add in Northern Ireland's ‘very experienced’ riders Davy Morgan and Paul Cranston and you are sure of close exciting action over the eight laps 34-mile race distance!

Three of the four making the race debuts at the DAO Post TT Road Races are from the Isle of Man; Damien Crook; Paul Turner, and David Rigby, whilst Roddy Taylor makes the long journey from Fleet in Hampshire.

Practice taking place on Saturday 11th June between 1.00pm and 4.00pm, with the race ac􀆟on between 5.00pm and 8.30pm.
