A very well attended AGM of the Manx Motor Cycle Club held recently elected the following Officials for the coming year.
President: David Mylchreest
Chairman: John McBride
Vice Chairman: Jim Hunter
Treasurer : Ned Bowers
In his acceptance speech the new Chairman said that his life long involvement with the Manx Grand Prix started in 1962, when he watched a wet Junior Race from the wall in the Nobles Park. The racing encouraged him to join the Scouts so he could help on the Scoreboards. He then progressed to the scruitineering team, riding in the Manx and Production TT, Travelling Marshal and latterly in the Control Tower.
David Mylchreest accepted the position of President to become the first person to have held the post for a second term. David said he was delighted to be asked and stated that “the Club will keep working for the RIDERS so they can come and enjoy the thrill of competing on the Mountain Course at the Manx Grand Prix.”
