In wet conditions with rain throughout the day, Tom Affleck (Sherco), Harry Hemingway (Beta), Toby Martyn (TRRS) Andy Chilton (Scorpa) secured their respective titles at Matlock last Sunday.
The main focus of attention throughout the day was the battle in the ACU Trial 2 Class where second on the day was enough for Chilton to secure the title after his main challenger, Ross Danby (TRRS) only finished fifth despite posting a late challenge on lap three.
However, Whilst Martyn and Hemingway both won their respective classes, Jack Dance (Gas Gas) took his first outright Trial 2 win of the year with a sensational last lap for a single mark, which gave him a comfortable eight mark win from Champion Chilton. Oliver Smith (TRRS) completed the Trial 2 podium.
Dan Thorpe (GasGas) took the narrowest of wins in the Expert class by a single mark from Emma Bristow (Sherco) who edged out Bradley Bullock (Beta) on a most ones tie break.
Whilst the oldest Hemingway brother once again recorded the best overall score on the Expert / Trial 125 route with a total score of just seven, Harry Turner (Scorpa) finished second and George Hemingway (Beta) third.
Martyn rounded off his successful season with an eight mark winning margin from Jack Peace (Sherco) with Billy Green (Scorpa) third in the Trial GB category.
