Spectators Welcome Back to Darley Moor

Finally, after ‘you’ have missed the first three rounds of the 2021 season the Darley Moor Motor Cycle Road Race Club can welcome back spectators through the gates of the Darley Motorsport Centre, nr Ashbourne, DE6 2ET for Round 4 of their Championship on Sunday 20th June 2021. But, what a meeting to return to with the largest entry for 5 years! Yes, there are a few restrictions in that trackside viewing area is restricted to between Park Corner and The Hairpin, but the Club have been hard at work improving those areas during the Closed Season right up until this last weekend.

Just several points to note beforehand:

Current Conditions

9.            Spectators are advised to make use of the hand sanitisers available around the venue.

10.          A take - away food service will be available.

Now to remind you of what you have been missing if your memory needs a little help. A wide variety of machinery on two, three and four wheels; two stroke 125 and 250cc Grand Prix style machinery; four stroke machinery derived from road bikes from 300cc through to 1300cc; brand new machinery to some classic racing machines fifty plus years old, but still in fine fettle; 600cc – 1300cc engines powering two classes of sidecar outfits with the pairings working together (usually!) and long-time guests to the majority of rounds, the Long Circuit Kart Club with another array of four wheeled machinery battling out on track. For this round only the Auto Cycle Union’s National 50cc Championship will be Special Guests racing with yet another wide selection machinery. Competing throughout the day are the many stalwarts of the Club, some extremely fast up and coming riders hoping to step-up to the British Championships and beyond in future seasons, including several extremely fast young ladies beginning to make their own mark.
