Waltham Chase Trials MCC will be holding their annual John Wright Trophy Trial on Saturday 7th November, at Woodberry Lane, Rolands Castle in Hampshire. This trial is open to members of Southern Centre ACU Clubs. Entry is only available through the ACU online system, there is no on the day entry.
This PMCRC land has been used for two Trials by the Club already this year and has proved to be a very popular venue, especially for Clubman and Novice riders who enjoy the long ride around the Enduro circuit. The venue does not lend itself to the marking out of an A route so there will be no Expert Class, however Expert riders are invited to ride as Inters for the day.
The fifteen sections will be “observed” using score sheets, just like the old days, and riders are asked to provide a clear rider number card for their bike to assist the Observers.
Being November it may be chilly and wet so Sam’s Catering Van will be on site to keep all well fed and watered. There are however additional “Covid” safety measures in place, including the wearing of face masks when in a catering queue – a small price to pay for the burger.
