Joe Thompson took victory in the third round of the British Youth Championship at King’s Lynn on Sunday.
The Leicester youngster became the third different winner in the 500cc series this year as he headed Harry McGurk and Lynn asset Elliot Kelly in the Final, with Dan Thompson suffering engine trouble on the start-line.
Thompson said: “We’ve been really working hard in the workshop trying to get everything sorted, and I’ve had some really good help from Richard Maull, who’s helped out mechanicing.
“I’ve learnt a lot over the last few weeks, and hopefully it’s all starting to pay off now.”
Luke Harrison won the 250cc section after a stunning Final battle with Max James, whilst Sonny Springer and Rico Joyce were successful in their respective 125cc classes.
