ACU Southern Centre Trials Championship 2020

Tuesday January 7, 2020 at 11:55am
After discussions between the Centre clubs and riders it is confirmed that for 2020 the Youth D class will be reinstated and an additional class, Clubman Expert, will be included in the Southern Centre Championship for 2020.

If a Club is unable to accommodate any classes, championship points will be accrued from the reduced number of rounds held for that class, to determine that class winners. For example, not all will be able to hold a Youth D Class due to the venue used.

Other additional classifications were considered, but too many classes would dilute class entries, especially in Twin Shock and Pre-65 groups which are already very low.

The Championship for 2020 will be held over ten rounds, plus two additional Pre-65 & Twin Shock Round, run by the Waltham Chase and Farnham Clubs.

There will be Pre-65 and Twin Shock classes at all other rounds of the series.

RuleTSR22A, “Stop Permitted”, will be used at all the main Centre Rounds. Non-Stop TSR22B rules may be used at the two specialist rounds, at the discretion of the organising Club.

Award winners and partners will be invited as complimentary guest of “The Southern Centre” to an annual Awards Presentation to receive their awards.

Clubs will endeavour to run Championship Rounds with 3 laps of 15 sections, but this is subject to the availability of Observers and the land available.

Riders are to be encouraged to pre-enter, using the ACU on-line entry system, to enable clubs to prepare for the event. Clubs will apply an “on the day” surcharge, if capacity is available.

All riders taking part in the Championship are asked to provide an Observer, or observe, at one round of the series.

Event Entry Forms and Results will be published in The Sporting Motorcyclist, TMX and on The Southern Trials Riders Facebook Page.

The Championship table will be updated after each event and published in the Sporting Motorcyclist and posted on The Southern Trials Riders Facebook Page.

Riders from adjoining Centres are very welcome to take part in the series.

Youth A, B, C and D class riders are especially encouraged to take part in the series, however due to the nature of some of the venues used for the Championship there will be no Youth “E” classes.

The Championship rules will again be reviewed in November 2020, with any changes implemented for the 2021 season.
