Team GB are Ready for ISDE
Team Great Britain arrived in Portugal this week for their assault on this year’s International Six Day Enduro. 10 of the country’s fastest men and women will be tested on a selection of tests in the Portimao area. A long week of walking has primed the riders of what’s to come over the following days.

The Trophy Team made up of Brad Freeman, Danny McCanney, Joe Wootton and Alex Snow definitely have a solid chance of claiming some silverware this coming week, under the guidance of newly appointed team manager Daryl Bolter!

Danny McCanney had to say ‘I am really looking toward to the coming days, I think the tests will suit UK riders and although the 1st day could be tough being far down the start order catching slower riders and dust could be an issue. However, the tests are some of the easier ones so it will help and set up the team nicely for the rest of the week with better start positions ‘

The Junior squad will be led by Dan Mundell who is the only member to of competed a six days before. Alex Walton and Jed Etchells will be making their ISDE debut and all will add their part to what could be the winning Junior team!

I spoke to Dan and he said, ‘I am really looking forward to getting stuck into my second six days enduro this week in Portugal. The bike is feeling really good and the tests look quite fun so it will be interesting to see how we are getting on at the midpoint of the event. The dust will probably be a problem because of our bad starting position due to missing the event last year but I’ll give it my all and hope for a great result’

The first British Women’s team will be giving it their all here in Portugal. Recent World Champion Jane Daniels alongside Nieve Holmes and Rosie Rowett will give it their all for a good result.

Jane said, ‘I’m looking forward to riding my first 6 days. I’ve no idea what to expect but I’ve had a walk of all the tests and although they aren’t too technical I’m sure they will get rough and be physical as the days go on’
