Sunday qualifying was delayed by rain and that meant it was a one shot qualifier.

Kars Van Den Belt warmed up his motor before qualifying started and he heard a noise (bearing) and decided not to race.  Things got worse.  Phil Crossley broke during his burnout and was out of the show.  Dave Peters launch but broke at the 100ft mark he was out of the show.  Kevin Osman had clutch issue during his burnout and didn’t get to the start line.  Only Dave Batcheler made a pass 8.339.  So there was a decision to have a second qualifier and Osman managed to qualify 8.938.

Osman took his first ACU Funny Bike win with 8.240 against Batcheler troubled 10.743.

Davies won his third race of the year and become the youngest ACU Comp Bike Champion.
