STP Green Light Nationals at Santa Pod Raceway
It was a double header for the Funny Bike and Comp Bike classes over the weekend of the STP Green Light Nationals.  The riders faced a stiff headwind over the two days and Sunday racing was delayed by rain.

Funny Bike

Championship points leader Kars Van Den Belt was the number one qualifier 7.394-191.40.  Dave Batcheler was next 7.417-166.66.  Phil Crossley and Dave Peters were next.  Former ACU Comp Bike Champion Kevin Osman made his Funny Bike debut on the bike that won Comp Bike.  The bike has been modified by Crossley for Funny Bike class.

Belt had started to have low oil pressure issue during the eliminations and managed to reach the final.  Batcheler beat Osman in round one and then had a bye to the final.  Best race of the day and Belt just took the win light 7.340 to Batcheler losing 7.347.

Comp Bike.

With Super Street Bike not racing at this event, Chris Reed entered and was the number one qualifier 7.555-188.14.

Championship points leader Louis Davies 7.602 just edging Paul Hambridge 7.604 for number two spot.

Reed was testing his air clutch and reached the final when Sam Sykes red lit in the semi-final.  Hambridge beat Davies in the other semi-final and went on to win his first ACU Comp Bike event 7.524 to Reed 7.903.
