KTM UK continues its partnership with the Weston Beach Race
RHL Activities is pleased to announce that KTM UK will be heading to the maddest, baddest and biggest offroad event in the UK, the Weston Beach Race, on October 18-20. The Austrian sportmotorcycle manufacturer will host a special KTM Village set-up on the promenade that will offer many interesting initiatives for race-goers over the event weekend.

RHL and KTM are synonymous with off-road thanks to a passion for dirtbikes as well as a long history of involvement in the sport. KTM is the largest European motorcycle manufacturer and the fastest growing motorcycle company in the world, yet its foundations are firmly planted in off-road. With over 300 world championship titles globally, many of which have been achieved in rally, enduro, supercross and motocross, KTM continues its relationship with the Weston Beach Race – seeing it as the ideal platform in-keeping with its READY TO RACE mantra to integrate with existing fans and customers, whilst meeting families that are new to motorcycling.

KTM’s most recent successes in off-road competition include winning the notorious Dakar Rally for the 18thconsecutive time with Australian rider Toby Price, the prestigious AMA 450SX Supercross championship with Cooper Webb, the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship with Jorge Prado and in the last few weeks the FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship with Sam Sunderland.

For 2019 KTM plans a big display on the promenade exhibiting many of its new models including selected bikes from the new generation KTM EXC enduro line-up launched earlier this year, a number of the 2020 KTM SX motocross models as well as bikes from its outstanding street range. KTM will have a retail area and will be offering the opportunity for fans to discuss their products with experts from the company.

RHL Activities believes that working with manufacturers such as KTM at the Weston Beach Race is incredibly important. Having industry support for the event along with brands interested in encouraging new people to take part in the sport is something RHL is always keen to develop. During the event weekend RHL urges race-goers to head to the KTM Village to talk to its friendly staff and see what’s on offer.

Simon Roots: Head of Marketing KTM UK
“The Weston Beach Race has always been an iconic event, but over the last few years it has become a real celebration of the whole season – with one final push to glory. The enthusiasm and commitment that we see from KTM riders competing at the race is incredible. It’s great to see the beach turn Orange over the weekend. Because of the excitement of the racing, the Weston Beach Race also attracts many, many spectators that want to learn more about the machinery being ridden. That’s why we’ll be on the seafront displaying our Motocross, Enduro and Street bikes, offering KTM PowerWear for sale and bringing our race teams and partners to the event. We can’t wait!”

Gareth Hockey: Director of RHL Activities
“We are proud to be continuing our partnership with KTM for the 2019 Weston Beach Race. KTM has built its roots in off-road and to have their support at the biggest motorsport event in the UK completely makes sense, but it’s also important for the sport for manufacturers to be connected with their customers and fans. KTM is the largest European motorcycle manufacturer and have had many major successes in off-road competition, whilst also entering the pinnacle of two-wheeled sport with MotoGP as the business has evolved. They plan to have a KTM Village again at the beach this year with many of their vast range of bikes on display and more. The passion at KTM is obvious, many of the staff from KTM UK have raced here in the past, they love the race and I really look forward to seeing them on the beach in October.”
