Keedwell ACU Trial GB Resumes after Summer Break
The Championship resumes this weekend with round six being staged by the Westmorland Club at a brand new venue for the series at Troutbeck, high above Lake Windermere.

Jack Price ACU Trial GB, Ross Danby ACU Trial 2, Ben Dignan ACU Trial 125 and Chris Stay ACU Trial Expert, who is pictured at the Tynemouth round in early June, will all be looking to hold onto their coveted red plates and extend their lead in each respective class. With two rounds taking place in as many weeks, this is an absolute crucial time to keep the pressure up - and not make mistakes.

Gas Gas Team rider Price has won four of the five rounds held to date and leads Toby Martyn (Beta) by a healthy fourteen points and a win this weekend would virtually allow him to put one hand on the title.

With the wins having been shared more so in the ACU Trial 2 Class, Ross Danby (TRRS) two top positions leaves him just five points ahead of Sam Connor (Beta) with Richard Sadler (Gas Gas) just one mark in arrears ready to pounce. All three have held the red plate at some stage so far this season.

Four wins to date has put Ben Dignan (Gas Gas) in a strong position in the ACU Trial 125 class and with just Brett Harbud (Beta) left to challenge this weekend as Adam Harris is away on vacation for the next two rounds, the Scotsman just needs to finish each event.

Three outright wins has put Chris Stay (TRRS) in the driving seat in the ACU Trial Expert Class, but this only puts him five points clear of ever persistent Dan Thorpe (Gas Gas) who in reality is now the only main challenger in this important class.

The sections at Troutbeck are wide and varied. The opening group is in a fast flowing stream before the fifty strong entry move onto higher ground and across the fells for a couple of sections before returning for some daunting (for ACU Trial GB Riders) rock outcrops within walking distance of the finish.

The action starts at 9.30am on Sunday with a Podium Prize ceremony scheduled for 3.50pm.
