South West Masters Heads to Little Silver for Round 3
This Sunday June 23rd the Point-S South West Masters Motocross Championships returns with round 3 of the 5 round series taking place at the ever-popular Little Silver Moto Parc, Exeter.

At the last round down in Cornwall things were to change in the 24MX Expert Championship as Luke Hawkins on the Cheddar MX Honda took a hat trick of wins which has put him leading the Championship by 43 points from Rob Cross with Jamie Skuse also moving up on the Tony Maunders Racing Suzuki in to 3rd just 15 points behind Cross, but it won’t be plain sailing as there is plenty of other talent looking to do well like Ross Kersey on the St Blazey Honda, Tom Moore on the Wulfsport Suzuki, Ben Butler (Pictured No 75) who returns from a fractured back injury on the Tony Maunders Racing Kawasaki, Jack Stevens on the MotoskinzFX Yamaha, Bradley Barfoot plus many others.

As with the opening 2 rounds there is a huge entry in the JCT Developments Junior Championship and is sure to be fast and furious to qualify to get into the main Championship races. Going into Rd 3 its Cornishman Daniel Wade who leads the proceedings by 17 points from Kieran Yorke with Maverick Smith there in 3rd a further 29 points adrift of Yorke. Other riders who will be looking to qualify and keep their hopes alive in the Championship will be the likes of Thomas Townrow, Harry Mitchell, Stefan Little, Brad Taylor, Harry day, Ryan Davis and Sam Raymont who currently hold the top ten positions in the standings after the first two rounds, but for sure with many others in attendance along with several wildcard entries things could all change.

In the Wulfsport Over 35 Championship which again has been well supported the man to beat will be Wayne Shimell on the TyreMarks Honda who sits on maximum points in the Championship and leads by 20 points from the Cheddar MX Honda of Darren Banwell with the Tony Maunders Racing KTM of James Kensington (Pictured No 140) sitting there in 3rd just 14 points off Banwell, but joining them will be the likes of Ben Harman, Peter Bulley and Lee Randall-Smith to name a few, where as in the Wulfsport Over 45’s it’s former GP rider from years ago Leapey Leigh Williams on the J D Racing KTM who heads the proceeding also on maximum points and goes in to Rd 3 24 points ahead of David Ford on the Projuice KTM with Welshman Dean Davies another Tony Maunders Racing rider a further 28 points adrift of Ford in 3rd, but looking to move up the standings will be the likes of Robert Topp, Neil Stephens, Wayne Slater, Paul Ford and plenty of others.

Little Silver Moto Parc is an excellent viewing track with easy parking and will be signposted off the end of the M5 Motorway (Postcode EX6 7UD) with the first race at 10-30am.
