2019 Putoline South Midland Tough Ten Trial

The ninth running of this popular prestige trial, organised by the Berkhamsted, Hillingdon & Uxbridge and Kenton & Kingsbury clubs will take place at it’s usual venue Round Rocket Plantation, West Hyde Lane, Gerrards Cross, Bucks. SL9 OQP on the 7th July, 2019 with a start time of 10.30.

 

The trial will be three laps of ten technical sections set out by this years Clerk of Course Ray Haslam with the Elite routes set to National Standard and all other routes to Centre Standard. Ray has constructed the sections on this super trials ground using his vast experience of riding National, SSDT, Scott Trial, Centre trials etc. over many years so expect an interesting, challenging, sporting day.

 

There is plenty of parking, hot food and refreshments will be provided on the day, overnight camping for Saturday night is available without charge though you will need your own water supply. Toilets will be on site.

 

Classes will be Elite Expert, Expert, Intermediate, Novice/Clubmen combined, Over 40’s riding the Inter route and Over 50’s riding the Novice/Clubmen route. In Youth there will be Elite Youth on the hardest route, Youth A, B and C on the Expert, Inter and Novice/Clubmen routes.

Youths will ride their age appropriate class unless stepping up or down with the Secretary of the Meetings permission. Those stepping down will ride for no award. Something for everyone in there !

 

The trial is run on the punch card system with lap scores being displayed as the trial progresses and results declared soon after the finish, which allows the awards to be presented on the day. Marking is to ACU 22B Non-Stop.

 

Prize money will be available to all adult classes subject to an entry of nine in class as follows. Elite 1st £100, 2nd £80, 3rd £60. Expert 1st £80, 2nd £60, 3rd £40. Inters 1st £60, 2nd £40. 3rd £30. Nov/Clmn 1st.£45 2nd. £35. 3rd. £25. Over 40’s 1st. £60. 2nd.£40. 3rd.£30. Over 50’s 1st £45. 2nd. £35. 3rd. £25. Youth classes. Elite 1st. A rear tyre. Classes A, B and C.1st. a trophy. First three in all classes a ‘Putoline product’.

 

In addition John Lee & Sons provide raffle prizes for which each rider is given a free ticket, main prize usually a rear tyre and observers and punch operators have their own raffle.
