2019 Battle of Britain Preview
Frittenden & District MCC Ltd proudly presents the 'Battle of Britain' motorcycle grasstrack racing across the weekend of the 25th & 26th May 2019 at our usual venue of Sandhurst Bridge Farm, Frittenden, Kent. Sat Nav TN17 2ED. The track will be sign posted so please follow these.

We have a bumper weekend of racing action, with the very best of youth kicking off the weekend on Saturday 25th May, with a big entry with the first youth meeting held at the Frittenden raceway in 10 years, then on Sunday 26th we have 4 adult solo classes & 3 sidecar classes - including a mammoth 24 Right Hand Sidecar line-up!

Riders to look out for on the Saturday include Oliver Bovingdon, Cooper Rushen, Max Perry & Mickie Simpson. The riders have come from all over the country and even some from the island of Guernsey. The youth riders are also backed up by the new GT140 solo class, which features some top names including Multi-Masters Champion Mark Cossar, Multi-British Champions Shaun Harvey & Danny Hogg, plus top solo riders themselves Karl Rushen & the evergreen Chris Mackett!

On Sunday that solo classes look very strong indeed, with the 250cc Solo class looks to be one of the most hotly contested classes at the Battle of Britain which features Danny Curl & Chris Mackie who will be riding both days as they look to step up into adult racing and will be up against some of the best 250 riders in the Country including Wimborne Whoppa winner Luke Harris, grading list topper Tim Greig (who is also competing on the Saturday in the GT140 class), South-Eastern Centre Champion Russell Little and one of the most improved riders Ollie Stanford amongst others!

The 350s should also see some fantastic action featuring last year’s grading list topper Mark Giles, Andrew Whitaker, Wayne Broadhurst, Dave Mears & Mark Taylor.

The 500 solos look to be led by former Eastbourne Eagle Charley Powell, and will be pushed all the way by Martyn Sturgeon. The Upright solos also has a bumper line-up and features former 500 solo star Rodney MacDonald with top upright rider Bob Dolman.

The 3 Sidecar classes once again well support the Frittenden & DMCC, including various British and former Masters Champions such as Josh Goodwin/Liam Brown, Shaun Harvey/Danny Hogg, Richard Webb/Ryan Young, Mark Cossar/Carl Blyth, Paul Whitelam/Alan Elliott and local hero Rob Wilson/Terry Saunters. The Right-Hand Sidecars also sees the comeback of Myles Simmons with son Robbie in the chair.

We would like to welcome onboard Clean MyRide - one of our new meeting sponsors who will be sponsoring all 3 of our meetings in 2019, so please visit them and the other trade stalls that we have.
