Whaddon MX now Reopened Thanks to ACU Help
Earlier this year, Aylesbury Vale District Council took the difficult decision to issue a prohibition notice on Whaddon MX, effectively ceasing all motorcycle activity on the site.

The ACU stepped in to help the organisers work with the council to secure the facility for the future. Stuart Drummond of the ACU spent a huge amount of time with the site owners, working with them on a range of changes including protective equipment, group practice sessions and general safety to ensure both riders and members of the public can enjoy motocross safely.

On 17th February, a track day was held with Aylesbury Vale District Council present and the Council welcomed the greater control and higher standards in place which allowed them to lift the prohibition notice and allow future activity on the site.

Whaddon MX said "We faced a real risk of closure from the Council, but thanks to the ACU and Stuart's help, we have worked to ensure that we can get up and running once again. I'd encourage any organisers in a similar situation to ask the ACU for help."

Stuart Drummond of the ACU said: "It's great to see that through making some small changes, we can secure the future of motocross at venues like Whaddon. In the modern health and safety environment, we have to ensure that motorcycle sport is being run in a safe and regulated manner. I would encourage all organisers to run to ACU standards which protect both riders and the public."
