Exciting news came from the headquarters of the 500cc Sidecar Association this afternoon as confirmation came that this year’s ACU British Championships will be filmed by the BBC.
The momentous event, which takes place at Writtle (near Chelmsford, Essex) on Sunday 7th
July, will play host to the very best 250cc solo, 350cc solo, 500cc sidecar and 1000cc Lefthand sidecar racers in the country. The circuit has always produced tremendous racing and this will be the second season that the championships will be held at this venue. The event is shaping up to be even better than 2018, with all champions verbally agreeing their attendance already, hoping to defend their British crowns.
This is a huge scoop for Grasstrack racing and there won’t be many better opportunities to see handlebar banging, two and three wheeled action than at Writtle in July.
