ACU Track Racing Chairman Tony Steele was a very welcomed visitor to Midshires Grass track Clubs FIME European Individual Grass track Championship March committee meeting held on Wednesday evening. Plans are well advanced for the event on Sunday 23rd June, at the Fosse Way Leamington Spa CV31 1XJ venue for what should be a great event. Tony said "It was good to see how well plans were progressing for the FIM Europe Grass track Semi Final and meet the committee members who are working hard to make sure a good event is put together. This is the ambitious clubs first "International" venture and they have done exceptionally well in the current financial climate to secure sponsorship to help meet the significantly increased costs of running an event of this stature. I am sure it will be a date that no-one will want to miss in the Track Racing calendar where the UK fans will be able to support the ACU riders who will be fighting to qualify for the European Grass track Final in Germany in August" It has been a busy month for the club with the announcements of its sponsorship partners – Houghton Hams, Morris Lubricants, Speedway Star, Jewson, Lockton, Holiday Inn and Rhino Goo.
