After the announcement from the FIM Race Direction it has been confirmed that Team GB have been promoted to third place at the 2018 MXoN at RedBud. This was as a result of Team Italy being disqualified from the event due to Michele Cervellin’s machine failing a fuel test during the event.
The updated result makes it back to back podiums for Team GB after achieving their first for 20 years at Matterley Basin in 2017, Team GB will now retain numbers 7, 8 and 9 for the 2019 event due to be held at Assen on the 28
th and 29
th September.
Team Manager Mark Chamberlain commented "It’s great for the Riders to have got something out of the event that they put so much into on the day. It’s not the way you want it to happen but all of the 3 riders put everything into that day and I’m happy and proud they will receive the medals for 3rd place and I’m sure the British fans are proud of them as well. Roll on Assen!"
