Revo and Revo Husqvarna Team Looking Forward To Hydrogarden Weston Beach Race Powered By KTM!
RHL Activities is pleased to announce that Revo Husqvarna will be competing at the maddest, baddest and biggest motorsport event in the UK, the 2018 HydroGarden Weston Beach Race Powered by KTM on 19-21 October with riders Mel and Brett Pocock.

Competitors in the British and European motocross championships, the Revo Husqvarna team, which is based in Daventry within the Revo headquarters, have been preparing for their first time racing at an endurance event. Runner-up in the European EMX250 series this year, 26-year-old Mel Pocock is excited to be making his beach race debut and is looking for a solid finish to his season.

“I’ve not done the race before, and I’ve really wanted to, but the situation has never fallen quite right,” explained Pocock.“With Revo Husqvarna we’ve got a good crew behind us and we’ll be getting prepped up and having a go at trying to win it. There’s such a wide range of riders and skilled riders with different parts of the sport they’ve come from – motocross, trials, enduro, hard enduro. The race is like a three-hour motocross race, so it’s who can stay out of trouble and the water, have good pit stops and have a good team behind them that will succeed. Even though I have no experience with doing it, I feel like I have a good mindset towards it, especially with the team, we could be up there. We’ll give it a good go.”

Mel will be joined by brother Brett, who will also race with the Revo Husqvarna team. The 20-year-old competed at national level as a youngster, and more recently has raced in some seriously tough events such as the Red Bull Romaniacs earlier this year. Brett also makes his Weston debut this year, and with his enduro experience, he will be aiming for a strong result.

“We’ve never been to the beach race, so it will be a really good experience for me and the team and we are looking forward to it,” said REVO CEO & REVO Husqvarna Team Manager, Mark Yates.

“We will be preparing for the endurance style of racing with re-fuelling, which is a little bit new to us, and it’s been difficult to prepare with so many races beforehand. It’s a battle of survival and we’ve got two good riders – Mel is really pleased to finally be racing there, so we expect to be on the pace with the endurance, and it’s great to have Brett joining us for the weekend. We know there’s a big crowd expected and we hope to put on a good show.”

In addition, REVO will be displaying on the beach for racegoers to learn about their products during the weekend. REVO is an aftermarket automotive tuning company, that specialises primarily in engine management software. The brand also is involved with hardware products such as wheels and carbon components, as well as turbo charing kits. REVO is the main sponsor of the motocross team, and has three premises at Daventry, as well as a distribution warehouse in the USA. The company operates on a business to business basis, and distributes through around 380 dealers worldwide in 36 countries.

“It’s great to have Revo at the HydroGarden Weston Beach Race Powered by KTM. With the products we offer it’s a great opportunity to show what we do to a huge amount of spectators that have an interest in motorsport – it’s a captive audience. I am sure there will be quite a few Ford, Audi and Volkswagen drivers that would benefit from our products. Everyone in our team is looking forward to it,”concluded Yates.
