Neil Prince receives award from Vets MXdN
The organisers of the recent Vets Motocross of Nations event at Farleigh Castle five weeks ago realised that ex British 125cc Champion Neil Prince was omitted from the podium presentations at the event where he should have been awarded second overall in the Pre 85 125cc/ Fourstroke class. With the first opportunity to remedy the mistake being at Lyng at the weekend, Di Thompson made the presentation on behalf of the organisers before the day’s racing got underway.

The mistake occurred when Prince’s third moto results were inexplicably discounted

Speaking about the mistake the Event Manager, Thompson commented, “Neil was pleased to receive the overdue award and we are sincerely sorry for the error. We all know that he should have been on the podium and we have taken steps to ensure this does not happen again. The worst part is that his young son, Chad was going to accompany him onto the podium at Farleigh Castle and this opportunity was missed”. However Neil was happy to receive the belated award before being overwhelmed by his rider Evgeny Bobreshev lifting the ACU British MX1 Championship title later in the day.
