Frittenden Flyer and South Eastern Centre Championship this Weekend
Frittenden & District Motorcycle Club proudly presents the 'Frittenden Flyer incorporating the South-Eastern Centre Championships' on Sunday 7th October 2018 at our venue of Sandhurst Bridge Farm, Frittenden, Kent. Sat Nav: TN17 2ED.

A great entry list which includes British & European Champions, Danish & Dutch riders from the European Veteran Longtrack Series plus a IOM TT winner head to Frittenden to battle it out on Sunday 7th October 2018 to become the 'South-Eastern Centre Champion'.

The 500cc Sidecars has one of the best lineups on the domestic scene this season with former European and current British champions Josh Goodwin/Liam Brown head the lineup. Mitch Godden/Paul Smith have been in scintillating form this season, finished second in this year's European Championships. Multi-British Champions Shaun Harvey/Danny Hogg also compete.

The Right Hand Sidecar class has a whole host of former Masters Champions - Rob Wilson/Terry Saunters, Paul Whitelam/Alan Elliott & Colin Blackbourn/Carl Pugh. Tom Cossar/Wayne Rickards have been in top form this year which includes winning the British Clubmans Championship back in June.

The Upright Solos has one of the most interesting lineups for this meeting with riders coming across from Europe to compete on British soil. Dutchman Martin Cazemier finished second in the 4-valve championship, Graeme Brown 3rd, Dane Arne Andersen 4th & Dutchman Bart Uil 6th. In the 2-valve series Johan Last finished 3rd. Add in seasoned campaigner Bob Dolman and this should be a fantastic class to watch. A special thank you goes to Dave Brown for sponsoring the European riders their boat tickets and to Godden Engineering who has sponsored their transport PLUS a huge extra £500 to the winner of this class! Thank you to those who have helped this happen and for your generous sponsorship.

The 250 solos again have a full grid of riders, with Russell Little, who finished 7th in this year's British Championship starts as favourite.

For anyone into their road racing a familiar name has entered the 350cc Solos - Ryan Farquhar who has contested 11 Isle of Man TT's and has claimed 3 TT wins. This meeting today is his first ever grasstrack meeting, so it will be interesting to see how he gets on. Mark Giles & Dave Mears who have been battling all season long in this class look set to continue their battle again on the 7th October.

The 500cc Solos has Speedway rider Edward Kennett making his return from injury, Mark Richardson making a rare outing on the grass, Stephen Green who has looked very fast aboard his laydown machine. Arran Butcher has looked quick all season and should also be there or thereabouts.

The mainly South-Eastern based Left-Hand Sidecars also field a strong lineup including multi-British champions Martin Cuff/Colin Clark heading what has been a very competitive class this season.

As this meeting is also the 'South-Eastern Centre Championships' there will also be an 'Unlimited Solo' Final - the riders for this will be the top 3-point scorers from the 4 solo classes at the end of the 3rd leg. The final itself will be run in a handicap fashion and is usually one of the most exciting races of the day!
