Dave Barkshire Motorcycles Two Man Enduro Championship Final Round
Fourth and final round of the Dave Barkshire Motorcycles Two Man Enduro took place at the Blaxhall Motocross Track last Sunday and was organised by the Woodbridge Motor Cycle Club who laid out an excellent course using parts of the Motocross circuit and adjoining woodlands.  The expected rain did not arrive during the event however the extreme parts of the track caught several riders out.

There were only two teams in the Championship Class Chris Wright/Dan Willis and Lee Saunders/Kane Fisher who before the day were joint second in the Contest sixteen points behind the leaders.  Throughout the four hours of riding both teams were neck and neck and fought tooth and nail for the win and at the end they both finished on 57 laps so it was down to time penalties Saunders/Fisher had 2.25 laps while Wright/Willis only 1 lap therefore taking the win on the day and becoming 2018 Class Champions, while Saunders/Fisher are second relegating Harvey Mutton/Toby Morley to third place.

There were only eight teams in the Expert Class and only one of these have ridden all the other rounds so the overall Class positions were settled.  However despite this there was some good close riding between the top five teams with James Holt/Dean Smith taking the win on 56 laps, with Damian Long/Paul Spurgeon 2nd on 54.25 laps, Long was in line to winning the Class Title but his regular partner Julian Harvey broke his collarbone days before the event.  Michael Brouse and Darren Gooch finished 3rd while Christian Drane/Graham Lazzari took 4th place on a tie break from Gene Womack/Jason Green.  The provisional final positions in the Expert Class are 1st Dan & Paul Hunt 39 points, Phil & Jake Roper 37 points and Tim Ford/Jeff Sharp 24 points.

All Toby Rogers/Shaun Palfrey had to do in the Clubman Class was to finish no lower than 14th place on the day to secure the 2018 Class Title.  They had been outstanding and consistent over the Contest however on the day it was 16 year old Joe Phillips and Joe Henthorn who took the win completing 54.75 laps from Rogers/Palfrey who completed 52.75 laps.  Chris Keeble/Dean Suckling came in 3rd on 52 laps with David & Andrew Woods 4th on 49.75 laps.  Subject to confirmation the 2018 Clubman Class winners are Rogers/Palfrey 64 points, 2nd Luke Womack/Tom Morris 39 points while 3rd the Woods duo on 38 points.
