Somerset Prepares for the Sidecar Spectacular - This Friday June 29
The 1000cc Sidecars make their second visit in the month of June this Friday to the Oak Tree Arena, the home of the Somerset Rebels. A large crowd enjoyed a fantastic night of racing at the beginning of the month where Mark Cossar/Carl Blyth took the spoils. But this Friday there are no championship points at stake as it’s all on the night, winner takes all.

Former World Champions Mick Headland and Brenton Kerr from Australia will be taking on the best of Britain including Cornishman Kenny Hammill and Passenger Jason Barry. Hammill now resides in New Zealand so his inclusion along with Healand/Kerr give the evening a real International flavour.
Headland has had a real ‘busman’s holiday’ a hectic month across the channel sharing his time visiting his French wife’s family and French Sidecar Speedway. He has built a bike to race on Friday, run a Sidecar Speedway Training School and completed demonstration laps at both La Réole and Saint Macaire.

Current British Champions Cossar/Blyth and current championship points leaders Paul Whitelam/Alan Elliot will spearhead the British challenge in what is sure to be a red hot night of fairing scraping action.

Don’t miss it 20+ races for only a tenner with under 16’s going free what great value. Racing Starts at 7pm with practice at 6.30pm the post code is TA9 4HA
