ACU British Trial Championship heads for the Anthony Rew Trial this weekend
It seems a long time since the last R T Keedwell sponsored ACU British Trials Championship round. It is only 6 weeks ago though, but for many of the Championship riders it has been a busy time with the Scottish Six days and World round action in between.

This Sunday sees the trip down to Devon for the Anthony Rew Trial at Kelly Farm, Lustleigh. Postcode TQ13 9SW. The trial organisers have returned to the big boulders at Kelly farm alternating the venue with Ruby Rocks which was used last year. Start time on Sunday 9.30 when the Expert class will get the event started.

In the main Championship class James Dabill leads the way with 3 wins from 3 events and he is already 13 points ahead of Jack Price the current British number 1. Despite this it is a very competitive class. Jack Price will be up for the challenge, local Toby Martyn was second last time out in Wales and his World round campaign is taking off. You cannot discount the brothers Dan and Jack Peace who are third and fifth in the standings nor Andy Chilton and Jack Sheppard. Any of these riders could make the podium.

In the Masters class Ross Danby has been a model of consistency also taking three wins on the bounce although Sam Haslam who missed Round 1 could prove to be a stiff challenger.

Richard Sadler in the Experts leads the way with two wins and a second place. Saddles has also taken National victories this season and had a good week at the Scottish so his confidence will be high. Guy Kendrew is second from the ever-enthusiastic Dan Thorpe but they all will have another rider to watch out for this weekend. Joe Baker has entered and although he will not be doing rounds he is still going to be right up there in the results.

The Elite Youth Class Mitchell Brightmore leads Gus Oblien by nine points with Brett Harbud close behind.
