Great days Racing at the Bob Collier Trophy MX featuring Eastern EVOs at Long Buckby
In honour of former club member Bob Collier, the weather at Long Buckby was just about perfect for this event. Hours of overnight rain and lots of track prep before this meeting meant the track was I great condition on a lovely sunny day.

Paul Burn dominated all his races, taking the Expert class overall showing some great speed and style. Recently upgraded Lewis Huckerby took second each time out, from Kyle Creevy in third.

At the front of the Junior class, Spencer Brookes took the overall with two wins and a second. Dean Filby finished a close second with a win in the first race and two seconds to Spencer, with Rob Harwood third overall.  Liam Waite recovered from a fourth in race one to take two wins and the overall in the Clubman Class. Greg Baker finished second each time out, just one point ahead of Dan Loveday.

In the popular Eastern EVO class Bradley Tomlin could not be beaten.  Bradley emerged from the clouds of 2 stroke smoke with 3 good wins. Second overall went to Brett Fisher who narrowly edged out Jon Barfoot for third. Fraser Law once again won the Friends of Bob class. Second overall went to Dan Loveday with Lee Hayward in third.

In the Premier Class there were some fierce battles at the front. Simon Wyse took the overall by twice managing to beat hard charging Cliff Lester. Cliff Lester was not to be beaten in the final race, going on to take runner up overall. Tony Leishman finished third overall with a second and two thirds. Fraser Law took the overall victory in the Elite class with Steve Bottoms second each time out. Stephen Gilbey took third overall after Justin Carter’s bike gave up in the final race. Three wins in the Super class saw Richard Jochacy on the top step of the podium. Reg Willis wrestled his vintage Suzuki to second overall just ahead of Trev Roberts.

Kyle Creevy took first overall in the U40 class as Paul Burn sat out race two, Connor Dickens took second overall ahead of Ashley Rilings. Antony Leishman took a very familiar first overall with three wins in the two stroke class. Eheren Wood finished second ahead of Ashley Batten.
