Festival of Power at Santa Pod Raceway
Weather disrupted the opening round of the 2018 ACU Championships at Santa Pod Raceway over the Easter weekend. Rain started to fall in the afternoon on test day (Thursday) the day before the event. Friday and Saturday were rained out.

On Sunday after a delayed start for drying the track, qualifying started and there were two incidents were cars hit the wall. A decision was made to allow less powerful vehicles to go down the track.  8.50 bike, 9.50 bike, ET Bike and Supertwin Top Gas were the only bike classes to run.  Over the winter break a new all concrete surface has been laid on the full quarter mile. With rain and very cold temperatures racers had to deal with a tricky track.

Top Fuel Bike.

Filippos Papafilippou has purchase Ian King championship winning bike.  Papafilippou did a burnout on Sunday to get a feel for the bike.
