Following the recent announcement from Youthstream, which sees the 2018 FIM Junior World Motocross Championship head to Horsham in Australia on 25th
RHL Activities are keen to hear from the riders and parents on what we should do as a country to support the team with the ultimate goal of taking a team to the 2018 event in Australia, which is a massive goal and challenge for us all to try and achieve.
After a very successful year in 2017 with walking away from Estonia, fifth overall out of 30 countries and also coming away with a British FIM 85cc Junior World Motocross Championship Champion. RHL Activities has taken on the challenge on behalf of the ACU, of reviewing all the possible avenues and opportunities to see if it can facilitate the raising of funds to achieve the 9000-mile journey for Great Britain to be represented at the Junior World Motocross Championship.
Gareth Hockey, Team GB Manager commented “I am pleased following last year’s event in Estonia and a subsequent meeting with the ACU, that they would like RHL to continue running the team for the Junior World Motocross Championship and work towards looking to take the team to Australia in 2018, however there is a big challenge ahead for Great Britain as we try to raise the necessary funds to take our elite youth riders across to Australia. This is where we would like input from you the riders and parents on what you think we should do to try and achieve this goal together. I also look forward to working with our riders in the Judd KTM British Youth National Championship as we assist with their development and ultimate goal of representing their country in the sport we all are passionate about.”
