The Track Racing Committee is pleased to announce the recipient of the Bill Smith Special Merit award for 2017 is David Brown of Pickering & DMCC.
David Brown has been the Secretary of and driving force behind Pickering and District Motor Club for the past 40 years. David has been a great supporter of the “grass roots” of the sport, but as he has demonstrated on many times in recent years he is more than capable of running National Championship events on behalf of the ACU. He is a great supporter of ACU Track Racing and in recent years has single handedly kept grass track alive in the North East. By the end of this month David will have run 20 events on behalf of the ACU during 2017, including grass track, motocross, trial and hill climb.
