Blaxhall set to host Bumper Maxxis Championship Round on May 6th 2018
After recently being announced as the Maxxis British ‘Organiser of the Year’ for the second year running in 2017, Woodbridge DMCC are pleased to announce that they have signed an agreement with Championship promoters, ACU Events that will see the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship supported by Pro Clean return to the Suffolk circuit on Sunday 6th May 2018.

After the success of the previous events the club will continue to set the high standards for the event and will be looking forward to some of the World’s best riders returning for more close and intense racing around the demanding Blaxhall Circuit.

Once again the event will include both the premier British Championship classes for MX1 and MX2 with riders such as current champion Graeme Irwin battling against local stars Jake Nicholls, Elliott Banks-Browne, Lewis Tombs and a host of other International stars.

For the 2018 season the event will take place on the Sunday of the May Day Bank Holiday weekend and will provide a bumper event with the club hosting all four of the Championships classes. Following the successful introduction of the new ACU British 2 Stroke Championship in 2017 which saw Mike Kras, James Dunn and Neville Bradshaw all produce some fantastic action the championship will return to Suffolk. Also returning to compete at Blaxhall is the MXY2 class which will feature some of the fastest youngsters in the country.

Speaking on behalf of the Woodbridge DMCC, Debbie Blyth commented “As a club we are delighted to have the Maxxis ACU British Championship return to Blaxhall again in 2018 and after previously holding rounds in June and July we are excited to be hosting round 4 on May 6th as we feel it will produce a different race surface for the riders. Also the excitement of being awarded all four classes means the fan get a full day of racing action.”

With the memories of the 2017 fading into the background the Woodbridge DMCC are already busy working hard to ensure the 2018 event is a bigger and better event for all the family, so be sure to mark the 6th May on the calendar and come join in the excitement, and visit www.woodbridgemcc.co.uk for more information.
