Peel based Moddey Dhoo Motorcycle Club recently presented the organisers of the Southern 100 Supporters Club with a cheque for £1860.00 to go towards the safety equipment which is required to be kept up to date at the races held on the Billown Circuit every July.
The very generous amount was handed over by Barbara Barlow, whose late husband Denis was a staunch supporter of
‘the friendly races’ and the support continues in his memory.
The excellent amount was raised at a Rock & Roll Evening held at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas during the Festival of Motorcycling.
Southern 100 Race Secretary, George Peach and Clerk of the Course Peter Oates both expressed their thanks on behalf of the club for Barbara’s and the Moddey Dhoo’s continued magnificent support.
