It is with regret that the North Berks MCC have withdrew the Downland trial scheduled to take place on Sunday 19th November from the 2017 ACU Classic Trials Championship.
This championship has sadly not been supported by riders in sufficient numbers. Many of the rounds that have taken place this year have attracted entries of 40 riders or less and clubs have cancelled their events at the last minute due to low entries.
In light of this The North Berks MCC will instead run the Downland as a stand-alone national for classic trials bikes only (without sidecars and enduro bikes) and on the same date/format that has proven so successful in previous years.
The Club will continue to monitor the ACU's plans for the classic series with the hope that the Downland Trial will once again become a championship round in the future.
