A hearing of the Motocross Committee was convened at ACU House Wood Street, Rugby, CV21 2YX on 26th July in accordance with the ACU National Sporting Code 10.03.2.1. to investigate the statement made by Mr Ben Watson on Instagram in that it is presumed that he used three different bikes in the MX2 class at the recently held Maxxis British Motocross Championship held at Blaxhall on Sunday 16
th July. When the championship conditions clearly state that only two bikes can be used as detailed under Maxxis Championship Conditions 2017 01.5.3 preliminary Technical Control.
Mr Ben Watson was present at the hearing.
A full investigation took place and Mr Watson was given the opportunity to explain the sequence of events that lead to the statement being made.
Decision of the Motocross Committee Hearing:
The Motocross Committee find that Mr Ben Watson was not in breach of any ACU Rules, therefore no penalties will be issued.
