Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson has confirmed Thursday's scheduled qualifying session has been cancelled due to the weather.
Persistent low cloud and imminent heavy rain, forecast to last most of the evening, rendered the decision relatively straightforward in the end.
Gary announced to the paddock that Thursday's schedule will now be run on Friday's session - for which the forecast is much more promising.
