Appleton Wins World Long Track Qualifier as Wright Claims Spot as Well
Saturday night saw 25 riders face the challenge of reaching one of the twelve qualifying places for the World Long Track Final on a truly extensive race day in the Czech spa town of Mariánské Lázně. The meeting saw 25 races completed to determine winners and qualifiers. Taking part in the meeting were three Brits, Andrew Appleton, James Wright and Edward Kennett.

After a dominate performance during the night it was Andrew Appleton who claimed the victory on 18 points ahead of Bernd Diener and Josef Franc. Fellow Brit James Wright also secured himself a place in the final by finishing in 10th
place on the night, while unfortunately Edward Kennett missed out.
