Statement Regarding Preston and District MCC Round 2 Meeting Scheduled for 18th June 2017

Wednesday May 17, 2017 at 3:02pm
The operating company which runs Three Sisters circuit has gone into receivership which has resulted in the closure of the track until business affairs have been dealt with.

There has been a small amount of activity at the circuit, however it is understood that this is due to be brought to an end once the winding-up process has been completed in the coming weeks.

The circuit leaseholders are actively sourcing a new operating company to resume activities at the circuit and re-open the facility to the public, and to clubs such as PDMCC wishing to use the venue to hold race meetings.

In the meantime, there is uncertainty as to whether the new operators will be in place by the time PDMCC’s Round 2 event is scheduled to take place. As a result, the club committee have decided to cancel the June meeting and focus on subsequent dates. Any entrants will be credited for their entry fees.

Please be aware that PDMCC is not directly linked with Three Sisters circuit – financially or otherwise, except for the sole purpose of hiring the venue to run race meetings. PDMCC as a club is still very much alive and kicking, and the committee will continue to act upon any relevant information that allows the continuation of our meetings and championships for 2017.

The committee will keep members informed of any future developments and updates will be posted on social media and emailed to members as and when required. Please keep an eye out for these updates on the Facebook page and inboxes.

It is hoped that the new operating company will be in place soon, and our 2017 championship can resume in July. In the meantime thank you for your patience, understanding and support, and we hope to have news of the July meeting in the next few weeks.

Vice Chairman/Press Officer
