5th and 6th of March is the date to mark your calendars, for Brands Hatch is pleased to present the fantastic annual motorcycle racing event that is Thundersport GB.
ThundersportGB - commonly hailed as 'The Home Of Sportsman Racing' - offers an absolute plethora of magical diversity when it comes to motorcycle racing, with 34 races over Sat/Sun.
From the now famous Dunlop Thundersport Superteens that spawned the likes of Casey Stoner, Cal Crutchlow, Tom Sykes, Chaz Davies, Tommy Hill, Leon Camier, Bradley Smith, Danny Webb (the list goes on), plus the next step up for these youngsters in the blistering pace of the IN Competition Aprilia RRV450GP machines, through budget classes such as HMT Racing Thundersport 500 with a bumper entry of 60 machines, plus the now hugely popular Sparklight Racing Golden Era Steelsport/Supersport and Alto Digital Golden Era Superbikes, including the ‘new for 2017’ LMB Recycling Thundersport GP1 Classics, you'll witness some beautiful machinery here from the late nineties, ridden by both 'Gentleman Racers' and youngsters now too who've decided to soak up the challenge and prove their worth.
Rookie class A&R Racing Pre-National Sport and Continental Tyres Pre-National Freshman 600, produced some truly invigorating battles last year and acts as a perfect pre curser to The GBRacing 600 Sportsman Elite (affectionatel known as The Axe Murderers - the name therein says it all really!).
Avon Tyres Supertwins and Stocktwins serves up the latest Isle Of Man TT class, this too has become popular and captured the imagination of the British public...
Then it's the BIG GUYS! The Michelin Tyres Thundersport GP1 Elite and Monex Europe GP1 Sportsman and Freshman… Here out and out power (some with over 220BHP capable of over 200mph) will do battle racing each other and this iconic circuit steeped in motorsport history.
