The first round of the ACU’s National Trials Championships takes place shortly with the Castle Colchester Club organising the opening round of the Normandale sponsored ACU Masters Trials Championship on February 5.
Perhaps now is a good time to remind potential competitors to a couple of minor changes to the regulations for this popular series.
There are now four classes: Class A for riders over 40 years of age on modern machines; Class B for riders over 50 years of age on modern machines; Class C for riders over 60 years of age on modern machines and a totally new Class D for Air-cooled monoshocks ridden by riders of any age.
There will be two routes through each section, Class A riders will ride a harder route and the remaining three classes ride an easier route. (The difference from previous years is that Class B now ride the easier route and NOT a 50/50 selection of the sections)
