International Six Day Enduro 2016 Day Two Report: GB World Trophy Team 3rd, GB World Junior Team 7th
The ACU British ISDE Teams have consolidated their position on day two of the 2016 International Six Days Enduro in Navarra, Spain. The British World Trophy team riders have again ridden hard to maintain their third place and with only 93 seconds to the leaders, the USA, they remain firmly in contention. The British World Junior Trophy team have also ridden well and in 7th place are going well.

ACU GB ISDE Team Manager, Dusty Martin: “An excellent day’s progress today. We have a high calibre World Trophy team – both Jamie and Danny McCanney are now inside the top ten overall – and the lads are close enough to punish the slightest slip from the top two teams. Importantly they are riding within themselves, knowing there are four more days to go yet. The Junior World Trophy Team are riding well too, they are a close match on speed, all three, and again they are well placed looking ahead.

“Again, no serious mechanical issues today although curiously both Jamie McCanney and Lee Sealey needed to attend to brake and exhaust issues again today. But again all fixed without fuss or penalty.

“Things could change dramatically tomorrow. After the racing today rain came and it’s set to stay overnight which will make the new course tomorrow – featuring tests over flat grassy fields – probably very testing. But it’s the kind of conditions our riders thrive in.

“The support team have been immaculate again today, keeping the riders fully serviced. Dave May-Miller deserves special mention, as our head of logistics and paddock service manager he’s co-ordinating everything from the riders timecards to refueling – and making sure the pit is prepared and ready for the arrival of each rider. It’s support like this that allows the riders to focus on what they need to the most – their riding.

“In all another good day’s work, and yes tomorrow looks like it’ll bring some real action...”
