Many Battles Will Go To the Wire at Cusses Gorse BYN Finale
This weekend the Thor ACU British Youth Nationals head to Cusses Gorse, Salisbury for the final round of the 2016 Championship to conclude another fantastic year of racing for the best junior motocross riders in the country. It’s been a season of sensational competition, yet there are still many battles to be won to confirm who will be crowned British Youth Champion in each of the five classes.

In the 65cc class the championship is open to two riders; can current series leader Charlie Heyman hold on to the top spot at the weekend or will Alfie Jones take it away from Charlie. With only 62 points between the top two and 148 separating the top five, Charlie, Alfie, Kiean Boughen, Bailey Johnson and Wal Beaney will be giving it their all.

Ike Carter is currently dominating the SW85cc class with a 127-point lead, however Bobby Bruce will be giving it his all to make an impression on the championship outcome this weekend. Third place is also going to be close with Jack Grayshon, Louie Kessell and Jack Lindsay all in the mix and will be pinning it to the chequered flag.

The Big Wheel 85cc warriors will definitely be a group to watch with Rossi Beard, who is currently leading the class, aiming to clinch onto his lead for 2016, however as we know anything can happen, as points are close between Josh Peters and Rossi. Dominic Lancett, Sam Nunn and Joel Rizzi will be trying to get those valuable points to determine their spots in the top five.

The 125cc class boys are coming into the final round with the top five being open to anyone and with only a 17-point advantage over second place, Todd Ritchie has got to give everything he can this weekend to retain the lead and keep Ben Clark, Callum Green, Harry Kimber and Jake Winnard from taking the title away.

Finally, in the open class it’s most definitely going to go down to the final moto on Sunday with Alexander Brown only having four points between him and George Grigg-Pettitt, who both gave everyone an impressive battle to watch during the last round at Pontrilas. Dexter Douglas, David Galvin and Jed Etchells’ championships will also be going down to the wire to determine how they finish in the series.

We wish all riders the best of luck this weekend at Cusses Gorse.
