ACU Clubman’s Championship heads to Cheshire on June 19th
It’s coming to Cheshire.... for the first time the ACU Clubman’s Championship is coming to Cheshire, the prequel to the 2016 Masters.

On June 19th this Grasstrack meeting is being held at our excellent Gawsworth venue, where last year we staged the British Championships to rave reviews from spectators and riders who enjoyed our exciting track. This year the National licence holding competitors will compete in the 500cc solo and 1000cc Sidecar classes, aiming to secure a top 8 finish for solos and top 10 for the big chairs in order to qualify for The British Masters meeting later in the year.

Some of the names to look out for on the day in the chairs will be Matt Fumarola/Gareth Williams, Rod Winterburn/Billy Winterburn and Neal Owen/Jason Farwell. Also in the solo’s local rider and CGTC Chairman Daniel Winterton will take on a high class line up including Tim Nobes, Harland Cook and Charley Powell. 2 support classes of 250cc solos and Unlimited Quads who also entertained us so well last year make up the days racing. Hot and cold food and our onsite marquee with bar will be present together with Dave Norcott’s Classic Speedway and Grasstrack exhibit with some fine examples of past motorsport machinery.

Practice is from 11am with racing at 1.15pm. Adult entry is £15, Concessions £10 and children under 16 and when accompanied by a paying adult are free! So make a great Fathers Day of it on June 19th at Woodhouse Lane, Gawsworth, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 9QY. Look out for the ‘TOO THE GRASSTRACK’ signs on the A536 Macclesfield to Congleton Road.
