The Derby Phoenix MCC are back in business

Thursday May 19, 2016 at 10:35am
Financial restraints have forced the club to keep a low profile in the past couple of seasons, but for the 2016 season they are running a six-round club championship for both solos and sidecars at Snetterton, Donington Park, Cadwell Park, Croft, Rockingham and Mallory Park.

Jordan Rushby, the talented 18-year-old from Beverley, Yorkshire, leads both F600 and the SuperStock 600 classes after the opening round of the solo series, hosted by Thundersport GB at Snetterton.

He heads Brendan Mallinder by 32 points in Formula 600 and leads Grant McIntosh by 31 in the SuperStocks.

Lee Wilson tops the 1300 Four Stroke series, on 75 to Matt Stevenson’s 52.

Peter Millington is the leader in the sidecar championship, after their opening round at the NGRacing event at Cadwell Park. He is 20 points in front of Richard Hackney.
