For what may be the final time, 1000cc and 500cc sidecars are back at Brandon for the Empire Classic.
The races will feature a wealth of local talent, including Rugby’s four-times British Masters Champion, Mark Cossar, also the only rider from outside Australia to have ever won a round of the prestigious Sidecar Grand Slam.
Competing against Mark will be his younger brother Tom. At just 17, Tom, as passenger to Mark, became the youngest ever winner in the British Masters’ 64 year history. At Brandon, Tom will be in the saddle as a rider and keen to show big brother that he can’t have it all his own way.
In the always popular supporting 500cc class, the third member of the Cossar family will also be looking to steal the show, as Mark and Tom’s sister Jeni takes part as a passenger. In addition, Rugby’s Gareth Williams takes part as a 1,000cc passenger, and Pete Lloyd from Marten will be looking to progress into the semi-finals.
