That’s it, done and dusted, yes the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross season is now over. Is it just me or did it fly by this year?

A pretty awesome 17 rounds in my opinion with all 3 champions deserving their crowns and place in the history books, well done to those guys. But when are we going to see a combined 250 SX championship, has the time come to do this? The best of the best - I think the fans want it and I’m sure it would help generate hype and more importantly bums on seats.

Last month Conrad Mewse had his first ever cover with us at ‘Live Motocross’ great start to the season, leading the EMX250 championship and an impressive ride in the Maxxis opener at Lyng. Fast forward a month and he’s racing MX2 in the World Championship with a 23rd in Latvia and a 27th in Germany - who made the decision for Conrad to drop a possibleCchampionship challenge in EMX250 with a ride in MX2?. In my humble opinion he’s just not quite ready yet. A season of impressive rides, enjoying his racing and feeling good about himself would have done him wonders - he’s 17 years old and he has years ahead of him in the sport, I genuinely feel gutted for him on a decision that just doesn’t sit right.

Enjoy the read, there’s lots going on especially with the start of the AMA Outdoors.
