Yeadon-Guiseley Motor Club host Round 9 of the Wessex Plant Hire British Sidecar Championship
The Mel Harrison sidecar trial will take place at Greenhow, three miles west of Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire on Sunday but with a depleted field of just fourteen entries.

A leg injury has sidelined Rupert Kimber. Nigel Crellin and passenger Chris Molyneaux require a finish to take the title from Jon Tuck and Matt Sparkes.

Tuck and Sparks did not score at Peveril last February so their drop score is done.  Chris and Robert Pickard ride against the eighteen sections and two laps as they are more or less home and dry in Class B. That also applies to Simon Evans and Nick Harding who are fifty eight points in the lead in the clubman category.

The Newcomers is a different kettle of fish completely. Just one championship point separate leaders Luke Etheridge and Dave Denyer from Graham and Hazel Thomas who have Miles Pope and passenger Chris Skidmore lurking two championship behind them. The Newcomer title will be a battle right down to Normanby in November.

Clerk of Course Mel Harrison has sorted a two lap course in the disused lead mines with two groups of section. That will probably be the east ravine and that long winding stream while the west end will be climbs and rocks in heather covered gradients.

The Club also invite solo riders to enter in the event. Solos will start at 10.00 am with the sidecars following at 10.30 am.

For any early arrivals or overnight campers there will be catering at the venue.
