Iwan Roberts Wins Final Round of the RT Keedwell British Trials Championships
The 9th and final round of the RT Keedwell sponsored British Trials Championships was run last weekend up at a new piece of land for the series at Glaisdale, North Yorkshire.

The Guisborough Club came in organizing the John Hardaker Trial as a British Trials Championship round which was a welcome addition to the Championship and produced the odd surprise.

The main change to the normal order of things was to see young Iwan Roberts top the championship class from James Dabill and Jorge Casales. Iwan had made a fine third at the St David’s but the climb to win a round was probably not expected this season. He did however pull off a fine victory from James Dabill with Casales a distant third. It was by the narrowest of margins just one mark separated the top two after 36 sections. Dabill had though won the series back at the previous Scottish round giving the Vertigo factory their first British Title.

Sixth place on the day was good enough to see the ever consistent Sam Haslam take the number three plate for next season, his best ever Championship standing.

The experience of Dan Thorpe see him take a popular win in the Expert class and that result gave him the title from Tom Hooper who challenged hard all year without quite matching Dan’s consistency. James Stones has had a much better second half of the series and the Sherco rider finished third on the day and third overall in the championship standings.

Toby Martyn dominated the John Hardaker in the Youth A group to become 2015 champion and not even Jack Peace could get near him on the day. It was a fine performance from the young rider with huge potential to progress far. Toby posted three laps in single figure losses which was just superb.
